Anitra Androh Elected to District of Columbia Building Industry Association Board of Directors
Miles & Stockbridge is pleased to announce that Anitra D. Androh, a real estate lawyer in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office, has been elected to the board of directors of the District of Columbia Building Industry Association (DCBIA) for 2018.
Androh was elected at the annual meeting of DCBIA in November and will take office in January. She currently serves as co-chair of DCBIA’s housing committee, which focuses on creating solutions-based proposals to improve housing in the District of Columbia, including housing production, management, financing and regulation.
About Anitra Androh
As counsel in the Real Estate & Transactional Finance Practice Group at Miles & Stockbridge, Androh represents clients in commercial real estate transactions in the disposition, acquisition and development of mixed-use, commercial and residential projects. She has extensive experience in the preparation and negotiation of development agreements; construction management agreements; property management agreements; cost-sharing agreements; reciprocal easement agreements; and declaration of covenants, conditions, and restrictions.
Her practice also involves the creation of condominium regimes and the negotiation and settlement of warranty claims filed against developers by condominium associations. Androh represents clients in the preparation and negotiation of commercial leases and regularly advises clients regarding the Americans with Disability Act claims and other related provisions in commercial leases.
With a membership of 500 companies and organizations and several thousand real estate professionals, DCBIA members represent all aspects of real estate development including developers, general contractors, architects and engineers, lenders, attorneys, brokers, title companies, utility companies, and community development organizations.
DCBIA represents the interests and views of its members before the District of Columbia and the federal governments, community organizations and other business associations.
